Article 4 Abstract

The idea of ‘youtubization’ is discussed in this article, with the idea of the progression of technology has meant there is a convergence between various mediums, in this instance, television, video cameras and internet, causing lecture style teachings to be uploaded online. This gives a new idea to teaching and shows the advancement of society from traditional ways of learning. The idea is now on easy access and availability than listening to teachers in real life. The article raises questions about whether this ‘youtubization’ of society is actually affecting everyone because of socioeconomic and technological capital needed to be part of it.
