There are lots of references to different studies regarding the native idea this gives credibility to the argument because there is evidence to what the writer is saying. There is a lot more information about why the brain would process information differently, which strengthens the arguments about why there would be a difference in how natives and immigrants learn and receive information.

However this article has been taken from a newspaper which may mean that there is a journalistic spin on the content. For example, the headline is ‘reading this will change your brain, is it evolution?’ This exaggeration could take some of the credibility away from the information. The focus could be more on selling papers, than criticising and analysing the facts which Prenksy’s terms.
