Article 5 Abstract

Sonya Livingstone argues what is new? The article considers the idea that even though with the upgrade culture continually updating products can anything actually be considered new? As soon after a new one product is made, it is converged and made into a new product. There is also the idea of parents trying to incorporate media into their children’s childhood, which played no part in their own, which highlights the difference in different generations understanding of media.

  1. i think i argree with what sonia is saying. i think tha if you also think about parents and children and trying to get the 'lastest' gadget for them can be quite hard. i know this is talking more about onsumerism but i think sometimes companies can rip you off by constantly bringing out the 'latest' gadgets
