Website Criticism 4

There are plenty of up to date examples on this article, which is useful when trying to apply Prensky’s theory to practice.

The website could be useful because it highlights the idea of ‘How digital natives think differently’; there is a lot of information about cognitive activity and reasons for why natives think different to immigrants. However, the information that has been given in this article could be criticised because you could argue is it true? There are no results showing that this is how natives think with a comparison to immigrants. Also, the style of this article is a lot more relaxed and less academic, with reference to jokes about natives, this therefore takes away some of the credibility from this article.

A lot of the references in this article refer to games, but does this really reflect how natives think, or is it just the type of entertainment that this age group enjoys? When this age group grow out of playing games, will they be more inclined to think like immigrants?
